Top 5 Reasons to Move to Annapolis

If you are looking to move somewhere in Maryland, then Annapolis should absolutely be at the top of your list of where to consider!  Here are our top 5 reasons why you should move here.

1. Fantastic Commuter Location

Commuters traveling into Baltimore, Washington D.C., or to Fort Meade/NSA will have about a 30 mile drive.  Talk about a great central location!  Annapolis is perfect for households who may have members working in different cities, or for those who want to just take advantage of all the things that the surrounding areas have to offer.

2.The Vibe

The next reason to move to Annapolis is for the overall vibe this place has.  There is just something about this area that stands out from the hustle and bustle of a larger city.  This area is also very easy to network and meet new people.  It has a small town type feel in that sense, so even if you don’t have friends locally, there are tons of opportunities to make new ones.

3. Close to BWI Airport

The Baltimore Washington International airport is just a short drive away and is convenient for flying both domestically and internationally.  Some of the airlines located there include American Airlines, British Airways, Delta, United, and, Southwest. Getting in and out of the airport is really quiet reasonable. They have airport parking garages on site as well as several off site parking lots.  There are even a few options to travel to and from BWI if you don’t want to pay for parking.  Those include the light rail, MARC train, bus services and Uber or Lyft.

4. The Water Access

Instead of a usual city made of concrete and steel, Annapolis has a more welcoming feel, with lots of trees and of course a lot of water!  If you enjoy kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, sailing, or other water sports, Annapolis is seriously the place to be!  There are tons of waterfront and waterview properties, but even if that isn’t in your budget, many communities have water access.  Some of the cool amenities offered by some of the Annapolis neighborhoods include pools, marinas, beaches, kayak/paddleboard storage, and boat ramps.

5. Loads of Fun Stuff to do!

No matter how you chose to spend your time, this city has something to match all kinds of interests and hobbies.  If you enjoy being outside, there are so many gorgeous parks to explore, places to fish, and even sail boating classes you can take.  Rather spend some time indoors? We have everything from theaters, museums and art galleries, to fantastic shopping and top notch restaurants.
