Greenbelt also has a few awesome parks to explore. One of those parks is the Buddy Attik Lake Park, which is nestled on 23 acres and boasts a lake, trails, and playgrounds. If you like to play ball, Schrom Hills Park is the perfect place for you. It has baseball/softball fields and a basketball court, among the other amenities it has to offer. If you love to visit national parks, you must add Greenbelt Park to your list! This park is great for camping and has numerous trails for you to check out.
This town seriously has something for everyone, even astronomer enthusiasts! Greenbelt is home to an observatory and even has its own Astronomical Society. If you would rather catch a star on stage instead of one in the night sky, look no further than the Greenbelt Arts Center!
As far as shopping goes, options are in no short supply in Greenbelt. The Co-op Supermarket is another unique feature to the town and is community owned and operated. They carry a nice selection of stuff, but if they don’t have what you need there are chain stores also nearby. Those include Target, Ross, T.J. Maxx, Burlington, Giant, Safeway and more.
Once you are done enjoying your day around town, don’t forget to stop by the New Deal Cafe for a scrumptious bite to eat! This restaurant also hosts some fun events that include live music, poetry nights, pub quizzes and more.
