Hey, if you're thinking about selling your home in the near future, one of the things that really matters is your front door color and your shutters. Now, this sounds maybe a little bit funny because most of our videos, most of the things that we talk about, are all the stuff inside your home, but curb appeal matters. Now, within the curb appeal, one of those things is actually just the front door color. Is it tired? Is it old? In the last couple years, there's actually been studies that show, if you paint certain colors, you can actually sell for more money. And it's kind of mind-boggling, but it's one of those things that, because we need to win the online game first, because we need that curb appeal and we need buyers to be excited to want to come see your home, we need something that pops, but is not going to look cheesy.
Now, you may have some restrictions from your HOA, and if you do, I invite you to check your HOA bylaws first before doing this. But if you don't have any restrictions and you're just like, "Hey, Brendan, cool. We're going to paint our door, we understand we need to paint it, but what color should we paint it?" Every year, there's a slightly different trend and we see some different colors that are selling, so there's this fine balance on what color is going to give you the right contrast, going to make the home pop; you're going to win the online game, people are going to want to come see your home. The more people that come see your home and the more inviting it feels when they get there it is going to just attract more offers, which, basically, you get offers faster, you get more action; that generally means you net more money.
