Home Prep Tips
Kitchens sell, right? A kitchen is where the heart of the home is. So we know when people are looking online, they're going to look at your kitchen pictures pretty quickly. And when they go into the house, they're going to take extra time in the kitchen. Because again, that's just where a lot of people spend a lot of time there.
So it's important that our appliances look the part. Now I'm not saying that we have to have a brand new $20,000 Sub-Zero refrigerator in there. What I'm saying is we want to try to be as consistent as possible. So if you already have all stainless steel appliances, then you can skip this video. But if you're in a situation where maybe you have a nice new stainless steel refrigerator and then you have a dishwasher that's black and an oven that's white and black. Well, that just doesn't match. That goes against the whole consistently homogenous stuff that I was talking about in the other video.
So what I want you to think about is people spending more money for their kitchen. That's just where it is. So we want to try to be as clean and consistent as possible here just like in the other video. I'm not saying that you have to go buy brand new appliances. What I'm saying is that if you have one or two appliances that don't match the rest, you may want to strongly consider going ahead and upgrading those. Now you could either get cheap new ones or maybe if the other appliances are a little bit older, go get some used ones. Go on Facebook, go on the Marketplace, go on to Craigslist, go to a place like Community Forklift and get a couple used ones. Even if they're not new, that's okay. But you know what? They'll match the others. And that's going to have a much better look for our pictures. And it's going to look more appealing when people come in.
So having matching appliances, at least in color, is really where it's at. Okay? Hope that makes good sense. I will see you in the next video.
